CHARACTERISTIC:

This is a multi-functional off grid photovoltaic Growatt Inverter, integrated with MPPT photovoltaic charging controller, high-frequency pure sine wave inverter and UPS functional module, which is very suitable for off grid backup power supply and self use system. The design of high-frequency transformer enables the machine to provide reliable power conversion in a small size. This inverter can also operate in battery free mode.

The WiFi/GPRS module is a plug and play monitoring device installed on the inverter. With this device, users can monitor the operation status of the photovoltaic system anytime, anywhere through mobile phones or websites.

The Growatt Inverter SPF 3500-5000 ES is a 230VAC output voltage shutdown gnid inverter for backup power and self-consumption applications with a maximum PV input voltage up to 450VDC. It can also
work without batteries, saving system investment costs.

This is a multifunctional 230V off-grid solar inverter that integrates MPPT solar charge controller, high-frequency pure sine wave inverter and UPS functional modules, which is very suitable for off-grid backup power and self-use applications. This hybrid inverter can be used with or without a 48V battery.

Can be connected to various household appliances and office loads, power tools, industrial equipment, electronic audio and video equipment, including refrigerators, lamps, TV sets, fans, air conditioners and other AC loads

IMPORTANT NOTE:

1.  This is a  wide-voltage hybrid inverter,  the voltage at which the solar panel is connected  must be above 150V for the hybrid inverter to work properly. Means you can connect solar panels in series, saving the cost of buying wires

The entire system also requires other equipment for complete operation, such as photovoltaic modules, generators or the utility grid.

WARN! MAKE SURE ALL INVERTERS WILL SHARE THE SAME BATTERY PACK. OTHERWISE, THE INVERTER WILL GO INTO FAULT MODE.

The inverter can be used in parallel with two different operating modes.

1. Up to 6 single-phase units can be operated in parallel.

2. Up to 6 units work together, supporting three-phase devices. Four units support up to one phase.

warn!

All inverters must be connected to the same battery and ensure that each set of cables from the inverter to the battery is the same length.

Important note:

The ground and neutral conductors of the SPF 5000 ES are not connected together and the enclosure does not become part of the ground loop.

Test method: Use the buzzer of the multimeter to measure whether the zero wire and the ground wire are connected together. If they are connected together, a “beep” will sound. If there is no sound, there is no connection.

Wiring Instructions (When Your System Is A Split-Phase System (120V L+ 120V L+ N+G), Please Use This As A Reference)

  1. Connect  the ground wire  to the  ground  terminal (be sure to connect the PE protective conductor first).
  2. Connect AC input  L1 to the input  L (hot)  terminal.
  3. Connect AC input  L2 to the Input  Neutral  terminal.
  4. Connect  output L (hot)  to AC output  L1 .
  5.  Connect  output neutral  to AC output  L2 .
  6. Do not connect AC input neutral or load neutral to the inverter.

Important note:

  • This single-phase 220V solar inverter is an international version and can be used in 220Vac single-phase systems and 120V/240V split-phase systems.
  • This inverter charge can be connected to a separate 240V to 120/240 volt split phase transformer (not included) for two separate 120V hot wires for 120V loads.
  • This inverter only outputs 220Vac. It doesn’t output 120Vac.

  • Ambient temperature should be between 0°C and 55°C to ensure optimal operation.
  • A separate DC overcurrent protector or disconnect is required between the battery and the inverter.
  • All wiring must be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Connecting the battery with the proper cable is important for the safe and efficient operation of the system. To reduce the risk of injury, use 2AWG cable. Maximum torque 2Nm
